its raining men

i love to watch tv. i really really enjoy many of the tv shows that are shown on the television today. i watch way too much tv. i know that and i except that. i just cant help it. it is way too amazing. i mean you can watch tv while doing other things, such as drawing, your homework, or even reading (on the commercials or at the boring parts of the show). on monday, i watch gossip girl, tuesday, i watch ncis, the mentalist, and american idol, wednesday, i watch America's next top model and american idol, thursday, i watch bones and the offic, and on friday i watch psyc. however, everyday, on usa, ncis is on for three hours in a row and i occasionally see the episodes that i missed.

my family

i have a very close nit family. we do a lot together. my mother and i enjoy seeing movies together. we pretty much have the same taste in movies so we usually go see a movie every two weeks or so. y brother is 20. he is very nice to me. he helps me when i ask him, except if it has to do with school because he is not the greatest person to ask about that sort of thing. however, my sister is a good person to ask about school things. even so, she does not exactly help f i ask. she is more a person to talk to about other things, but i don't really like talking to her because she isn't a very good listener. sooooo that's my family.

my service project

during the past summer, i volunteered at st. marks school. my friend, heather, and i watched after three to twelve year olds. we helped the moderators teach the children for a half and hour. i also helped the children when they asked for it. from teaching one girl to ride a two wheeler to building a block tower to reading stories after lunch. i finished over one hundred and fifty hours. i worked every monday, wednesday, and friday from seven o'clock in the morning to two forty-five in the afternoon. i enjoyed this experience of helping the young children.

lent is a very special time in our church. i will be truthfully honest. my lenten sacrafices did not work out so well for me. at first i gave up something, when that did not work i gave something else up, when that did not work, however, i dropped the giving stuff up thing and decideed to go for a different angle. what did i decide to do? i decided to be nice to someone. yes i know and understand how pethetic that sounds, being nice to someone. i mean how difficult can that be. well for your information IT IS HARD. no joke. i am having a hard time. however, it has gotten easier. you see, i realized that when your nice to someone who, say, is not very nice to you, they end up being nicer to you. now my being nice to this person is going well and i am proud of myself.

irish

i am irish. did you know that? well if you did not, there you are. i am irish. i enjoy being irish. i feel as if i can relate to a lot of people because soooo many people are irish as well. i enjoy st.patrick's day. it is a time for all the irishs to gather and celebrate their heritage. even though i was sick this st. patrick's day and could not be at the parade, the parade is still the best part of st. patrick's day. i love seeing all the floats and the people in the parade. my favorite part about the parade is the passing out of the potatoes at the end of the parade. i was going to help this year, but like i said i got sick. i enjoy being irish, as do my friends who are irish, and i cannot wait until next st. patrick's day when i will hopefully not be sick.

(NOT IN LIKE A CREEPY, DISTURBING WAY THOUGH) SHE REALLY UNDERSTANDS ME, AND I KNOW THAT I CAN TALK TO HER, EVEN THOUGH SHE PROBABLY WON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT (NO OFFENSE WE ARE BOTH VERY BLONDE). I JUST FEEL AS IF KAYLEE IS SOMEONE WHO JUST AN ALL TOGETHER, GOOD NATURED, REALLY GREAT PERSON. SHE ALSO MAKES ME LAUGH. I LAUGH AND I LAUGH AND I LAUGH. NOT THAT ME LAUGHING IS UNUSUAL, BUT WHEN IM WITH KAYLEE SHE LAUGHS TOOO. THEREFORE I DON'T FEEL AS IF I AM WEIRD OR OUT OF PLACE. I CAN BE MYSELF WITH KAYLEE AND THAT IS WHY KAYLEE IS SUCH A GOOD FRIEND.

ANAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ana is one of my bestest friends EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she is uber duber nice and is very connected to who she is on the inside. i think that this is such an amazing quality to have. it's like she knows exactly what she wants and knows how to get there and it going to get there. also, ana has this ora about her. when you first meet her, you love her, and even if you don't end up bestest friends like her and me, you won't forget her. finally, ana has this look. she gives it to you when she wants something, and she doesn't even realize that she is giving you a look. it's called the puppy dog eyes. they are terrifyingly gorgeous and you just can't say no. she is one of my bestest friends and is just great.

i do not much care for projects period. however, i appreciate that the teachers are trying to make the class fun and new for the students. i kind of liked the power point one we did on the earth and every thing. it was not exactly hard. actually it was quite simple. however, i would not want to do it again. i vary much do not like the project that we are currently doing. i just was having trouble finding things that described me. i don't know maybe i really did like them all and just think that i didn't.

Valentines Day

I think that Valentines Day is a holiday made up for people who want to show off their "love." It makes people feel bad when they do not have someone to share this "special" day with. It also makes those who do have someone think that they will be together forever. 

However, I also think that it is a fun day. People get gifts and chocolate. That makes it fun for those who may have been hurt or stuff.

But it also makes people think that they are not loved if they do not have anyone to share it with.

the acadamy awards

I am very pleased with the academy award nominations for 2008. I have seen more than half of the movies nominated, and I can sincerely say that they deserve it. From movies like The Dark Knight to Kung Fu Panda to The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, all the movies were well written, directed, and most of all, the actors and actresses really got into character. They made the watcher truly believe they knew the people that they were watching and that they understood who the character was. I believe that however the results turn out, every nominee deserves an OSCAR.

my thoughts

My thoughts on the inaugural events the past week are few and brief. I enjoy giving my opinion on many thongs, but only to what I know and understand. As I have not exactly followed the news, and, as I have at the moment forgotten even the vice president's name, I do not think that it would be appropriate for me to give my thoughts when I truly have none. I will, however, say this: I know who the president is, I know where he comes from, and I believe in him, and trust him. I commented on Savannah Colvis' blog.

Spiritual Development

Hey everyone! So I was thinking about what I was going to write for this blog, and I realized that it was kind of obvious. My spiritual goals for the new year are to pray more, listen more in church, and to be a better over all person. Even though I already pray, listen in church, and try to be a good person, there is always room for improvement! So I plan to nurture my spiritual development by doing everything I have listed above, and I hope that it helps! Oh and Mrs. Brown, I commented on Libby's blog. Bye!

first impressions

My first impression was that the class would just be fun, but not quite useful. However, I have discovered that Technology class can be useful if I pay attention and ask questions. Once I realized this, I also realized that I am very excited about Technology class. I get to learn about Macs and do projects that seem, not only fun, but also interesting. I am also able to spend time in a carefree environment. I am excited about Technology class for two other reasons: no written work and no written homework. Therefore, I hope that Technology class is all that I expect and more.
